AMD is preparing two new processors. It's supposed to be cheap
Two new AMD Ryzen 8000F processors will be available for sale soon. Their special feature is the lack of iGPU and lower price.
AMD has long been fighting on two fronts, i.e. the graphics card and computer processor markets. There is a lot of competition and with huge R&D budgets, we are talking about companies such as NVIDIA and Intel. Therefore, the Reds have not been able to emerge victorious from this duel for a long time.
Red will offer processors without iGPU
Only 33% of gamers choose AMD processorsthe situation is even worse with graphics cards – only 15%. However, the Reds are working hard to change that. One of the solutions is to be new, cheaper systems.
During the AI PC Innovation Summit in Beijing (China), AMD revealed, among others: two new models – Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F. As the name suggests, these are architecture-based systems AMD Zen 4 and under the nest AMD AM5which lack an integrated graphics unit (iGPU).
Although there is no official specification yet, it can be assumed that the AMD Ryzen 7 8700F will offer us 8 cores and 16 threads. All with a clock speed of up to 5.1 GHz and a TDP of 65 W. The bigger unknown is the AMD Ryzen 5 8400F. The biggest probability here is the configuration 6 cores and 12 threads and clock up to 4.9 or 5.0 GHz.
The presentation first in China suggests that these will be processors dedicated mainly to that market. Over time, however, they may also reach Europe and the USA. Similarly to the GRE series graphics cards. Spencer Pan, AMD SVP, promised that theirs new CPUs will be, as usual, attractively priced.
