AMD EPYC 4004, i.e. new processors for special tasks
The Reds have prepared new processors with a good price-performance ratio. We are talking about the EPYC 4004 series intended for companies and servers.
When it comes to computer processors, we have two main manufacturers – AMD and Intel. These companies are fighting each other for the segment of desktop computers, laptops, portable consoles and servers. So far, the Blues have been dominating for years and, depending on the statistics, they have about 60-75% of the market.

Of course, the Reds do not give up, constantly releasing new generations of CPUs and gradually convincing new customers. Today AMD introduces processors to the market EPYC 4004. It is complementing the server offer about a cost-optimized family and addressed to small and medium-sized companies.
AMD EPYC 4004 is already well known to us Zen architecture 4. Units equipped with: from 4 to 16 physical coreswith coefficient TDP from 65 to 170 W and timing from 3.8 to 5.7 GHz. We are talking about eight different models in total, their full specification is as follows:
Americans emphasize that AMD EPYC 4564P provides 1.8 times better performance/price ratio than Intel Xeon E-2488. Suggested wholesale prices (when purchasing 1,000 pieces) range from $149 to $699, so approximately PLN 585 – 2,739. This may be crucial in the case of smaller companies that do not have such large budgets for building and/or modernizing IT infrastructure as large corporations.
The new processors use a technology known from consumer platforms AMD AM5 socket. Companies such as: have already announced their server solutions with AMD EPYC 4004 ASRock Rack, GIGABYTE, MSI and Supermicro.
