AMD confirms. Their graphics cards of choice have a downside
The recently released AMD graphics card, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE, has overclocking problems. However, the Reds know about the situation and are already working on a solution.
AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) is not a new graphics card. We are talking about a system that made its debut on the market in July 2023. However, it was originally reserved only for the Chinese market and only a few days ago – on February 26 – it was officially distributed in Europe and America.
AMD is already working on solving the problem
The first reviews of the described system are positive. Foreign reviewers praise, among others: rasterization performance, although ray tracing and power consumption are still poor. However, the worst thing is overclocking. The potential is small, both for GPU and VRAM.
AMD confirmed to the Hardware Unboxed team that limited liability insurance options are a mistake. The Reds already know about it and are working on software fixes. They should appear any moment now.
PC enthusiasts will have a lot of scope to show off their skills, and the AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE may get a big boost. Of course, please remember that overclocking always involves an increase in power consumption and temperaturesand additionally requires knowledge to maintain full stability and not damage the card.
