Amazon will employ 250,000 employees. A hot period is coming

Amazon plans to employ as many as 250,000 workers. It’s all part of a well-thought-out and previously proven process.

Amazon plans to employ as many as 250,000 workers. They are to be sent to warehouses and the transport section. All this to prepare for the increased number of orders in the pre-Christmas period.

The e-commerce giant used a similar strategy last year, when the company temporarily hired exactly the same number of people for the holiday season.

We expect even greater demand for electronics than last year. However, we think that 250,000 people is the right number to ensure the smooth functioning of the company

– plans Sandy Gordon, Amazon’s vice president of Global Operations.

Amazon did not provide precise information on how many seasonal workers will work in warehouses and how many will transport purchased goods. He noted, however, that in addition to new people, the company also intends to continue using external courier companies.

According to predictions Mastercard customers will spend 4.9% more on purchases during the holiday season this year than last year. We are talking about an astronomical amount of $240 billion here.

Apart from Amazon, other American companies are also getting ready for the pre-Christmas shopping frenzy. The Target store chain plans to employ 100,000 temporary workers, and in total, the stores will create over 520,000 temporary jobs in the United States during this period.
