Allegro with important changes. They will come into force in June and July

Allegro, one of the most popular sales websites in Poland, has announced several changes and novelties that will be introduced in the coming months. They concern, among others, the Allegro Pay service, product reviews and time to pay for the winning bid.

Allegro changes its regulations from time to time and introduces new solutions to the sales website. It will come into force in June and July this year a new portion of changes and news for buyers. They concern the department Allegro Locallyservices Allegro Pay Whether product reviews. Some records will disappear, others will be refreshed.

PESEL registered

From June 1, 2024 certain provisions of the Act will come into force, obliging the website to verify whether buyers who activate Allegro Pay from that date have registered PESEL number. This will be done during service activation or later – for example, during some purchases with Allegro Pay. Allegro will not be able to conclude an Allegro Pay agreement if the user's PESEL is confidential.

The above change does not apply to people who activated or will activate Allegro Pay before June 1, 2024.

Changes in Allegro Pay

Already June 17, 2024 will come into force changes in the regulations of the Allegro Pay service. Allegro website:

will update the records on the number of installments, which will depend on the value of the purchase; during purchase, the buyer will see available variants,
adds information that – in addition to other repayment options – based on separate promotion regulations, it may also offer the buyer other terms and conditions of using Allegro Pay,
clarifies that the Allegro Pay service can also be terminated in the Allegro Pay Panel.

Same day the privacy policy in the Allegro Pay service will be updated. This will apply to the list of public sources from which Allegro may obtain user data, to which public and local administration bodies will be added. The changes will also apply to customers using Allegro Cash.

Changes to the Allegro Regulations

The next package of changes concerns Allegro Regulations and will also take effect June 17 this year.

Allegro will update product review records. A provision will be added under which Allegro will be able to use the opinion about the product issued by the buyer in various ways – for example, record it, reproduce it using any technique, duplicate it, distribute it or create studies. If the buyer leaves an opinion about the product, he or she will waive the exercise of moral rights to it and allow the website to exercise them.

The time to pay for the winning bid will be shortened. Now it is 30 days, and after the changes, the winning bidder will have:

14 days – if he pays by traditional transfer,
7 days – if you pay using other methods.

The Tickets category will disappear from Allegro Lokalnie. Ticket announcements will be visible until June 16 and buyers will be able to contact the seller to buy them.

Allegro will remove the provision from the regulations that the user will be notified about the changes and the possibility of accepting them when logging in for the first time on Allegro, counting from the moment the changes to the regulations come into force.

There will be another change to the Allegro Regulations July 31, 2024. This time it will concern card payments. Currently, it can be used to pay in transactions operated by PayU. After July 31, card payments will also be possible in transactions operated by them Transfers 24. Therefore, on July 31, Allegro will add provisions regulating this to the Przelewy24 Service Regulations.
