The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) imposed a fine on Allegro in the amount of PLN 3.97 million for prohibited provisions in the regulations. The website appealed against this decision, but the court turned out to be ruthless.

At the end of 2022, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection imposed a fine on Allegro in the total amount of PLN 3.97 million. The office did not like the provisions in the regulations that allowed unilateral changes to the terms of the Allegro main regulations and the regulations of the Allegro Smart service. The website decided to appeal against this decision, but to little avail.
Allegro is to pay a fine of PLN 3.97 million
The Court of Competition and Consumer Protection fully upheld the decision of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, which means that Allegro has to pay a penalty. The amount of PLN 3.97 million consists of PLN 1.22 million for prohibited provisions in the Allegro main regulations and PLN 2.75 million for the same provisions in the regulations of the Allegro Smart service.
Despite this, Allegro does not intend to give up. The company still has the opportunity to appeal to the Court of Appeal. He will probably decide to take advantage of this opportunity.
The decision is not final and the penalty imposed is not due. Allegro PL has the opportunity to appeal against the judgment of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection to the Court of Appeal. The decision will become final only if the abovementioned is not submitted. appeal or after the final conclusion of the court proceedings
