Action, adrenaline and murder. The Polish Canal+ series is already a hit
We rarely come across a good Polish thriller series. Meanwhile, we have everything here: action, adrenaline, chases, murder and a nameless avenger in the foreground. What more could you want?
Not all TV series adaptations of the novel are successful, but this time Canal+ can congratulate itself on a really successful production.
“A Simple Matter” by Wojciech Chmielarz is a series worth watching. The creator of “Furioza”, Cyprian T. Olencki, did it again, delighting viewers and critics. And the issue of famous dialogues in Polish films – in the case of this series, they do not arouse embarrassment in the viewer.
The six-episode Canal+ series is nothing else than the story of a nameless righteous avenger. And here we watch again Mateusz Damięcki in a daring role, which differs significantly from his previous image in the series. Personally, I also really liked the role of the demon Kazik, played by Piotr Adamczyk, which is also not one of the actor's obvious achievements.
The action of the series takes place in Jelenia Góra and it can be said that we have everything that is typical of action cinema here. There is action, adrenaline, murder, chases and a nameless avenger in the foreground. And there is some ease, the director managed to inject some much-needed sense of humor between the frames.
Debt, justice and honor. What more could you want? There are even beautiful Karkonosze Mountains in the background. You could say that the beautiful views balance the brutality of some scenes.
In addition to Damięcki and Adamczyk, the cast includes: Izabela Kuna, Mateusz Kmiecik, Maciej Musiał and Krzysztof Zalewski.
“A Simple Matter” premiered on Canal+ Premium and Canal+ online on May 17, subsequent episodes are broadcast every week.
On June 21, we will see the final episode.
