Afera o nic? Procesory AMD są bardziej awaryjne niż Intel

A Scandal About Nothing? AMD Processors Are More Failure-Prone Than Intel

It looks like the internet warriors were wrong again. The problem with Intel processors is not that big, it’s AMD chips that break down more often.

The hottest topic in the PC world right now is Intel’s situationregarding processors Intel Core 13th and 14th Generation. We are talking about stability problems of the most efficient models under heavy load. It is all due to a faulty microcode, which through too high voltage can permanently damage the CPU.

Intel’s failure rate is only 2%, AMD’s is 4%.

Unfortunately, there is little information about certainty, and the Blues are still analyzing the case. Thus, on the web a lot of pseudo experts have already given their verdictThat “Intel is dying”. The reality may be closer to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 series and 12VHPWR sockets, though, and the situation is simply artificially inflated.

Puget Systemsa large American supplier of computer sets and servers, shared its statistics on processor failures. They show that AMD Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 5000 processors are twice as likely to fail as the Intel Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh families.

It is worth emphasizing, however, that in both cases these are not big numbers at all – we are talking about 4% for AMD and 2% for Intel, respectively. Interestingly the most unreliable so far are… 11th generation Intel Core processorswhich were not mentioned on the web at all to have “problems” – as much as 7% CPU.

A Scandal About Nothing? AMD Processors Are More Failure-Prone Than Intel

Is this data reliable? Absolutely.Puget Systems sells at least a few hundred PCs a month. This is a much better indicator than the often-cited small studio Alderan Games, with only a few machines and a mod for ARMA 3 and one game in production.

It is worth noting that Puget Systems does not use the default motherboard settings for both AMD and Intel builds. The BIOS is always optimized for recommendations from both manufacturersso there is no question of automatic OC and other strange voltage settings.
