A real Xiaomi monster. There has never been such a battery in Europe
The latest leaks regarding the upcoming POCO X8 Pro Max model indicate that the manufacturer intends to equip this smartphone with a cell with an impressive capacity 8500 mAh. This is good news, because leaks previously mentioned “only” 6,500 mAh.
If these reports are confirmed, we will be dealing with one of the largest batteries in the history of the brand, which, combined with fast wired charging with a power of 100 W, should ensure trouble-free two-three days of intensive use. POCO X8 Pro Max can become the first available in Europe a traditional smartphone (not an armored smartphone) with such a large battery.
Everything indicates that POCO X8 Pro Max will be available global variant of the Chinese model Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which debuted in the manufacturer’s country the day before yesterday with an even larger battery 9000 mAh in an 8.15 mm thick housing. The slight capacity reduction for Europe and the rest of the world is likely due to more stringent safety certifications and transport standards. Despite this reduction, 8500 mAh is still a result that outclasses most of the competition, which will certainly attract the attention of gamers and frequent travelers.

The technical specifications of the device also look impressive. Like Redmi Turbo 5 Max, the smartphone will be equipped with a large, 6.83-inch OLED screen from TCL with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek chip is responsible for performance Dimensity 9500s. The photo section will be composed of the main Light Hunter 600 sensor with resolution 50 Mpix with optical image stabilization, supported by an 8 Mpix wide-angle unit and a 20 Mpix selfie camera with an OmniVision matrix. The entire structure must meet resistance standards IP68, IP69 and IP69Kwhich suggests extraordinary resistance to dust and water.
In addition to the Max variant, a standard one will also be available on the market POCO X8 Pro. Although it will receive a smaller 6500 mAh battery, it will still support 100 W charging. The manufacturer also announces a special Iron Man edition, which suggests that POCO will again focus on limited thematic versions for Marvel fans.
