A new series debuts on Polsat Box Go. Everything revolves around betrayal

“Betrayal” is a debutant on the platform Polsat Box Go new crime and psychological series. This picture begins innocently – with a chance meeting that awakens feelings between Julia (Anna Karczmarczyk) and Paweł (Paweł Małaszyński). Julia is the wife of an ambitious prosecutor Patryk (Dawid Ogrodnik) and the mother of little Maurycy, Paweł – the husband of the beautiful Eliza (Marieta Żukowska) and the father of two teenagers – Gosia and Marek. Paweł and Julia are connected by bonds and circumstances that they have no idea exist, and their meeting will start an avalanche of events.

The series is full of different shades. There are no only good and only bad characters here, only weak and only strong. The whole story develops quickly and is an ideal proposition for viewers who, in addition to criminal and gangster themes, also like psychological ones. “Betrayal” allows you to look at marital, family and business relationships from different perspectives. The characters face many problems and have to make difficult choices at critical moments in their lives.

Heroes of “Betrayal”:

• Julia (Anna Karczmarczyk) – an exemplary wife and mother suffering from social phobia, a photographer by profession. Under the influence of one meeting, Julia gives in to her feelings for Paweł and throws away her entire organized life for a new relationship. How will this affect a child who unexpectedly loses stability and predictability? What will a betrayed husband do?

• Patrick (Dawid Ogrodnik) – Julia's husband, a prosecutor dedicated to his work and hungry for success. He takes a safe and stable life for granted until he discovers his wife's affair – then he loses ground and begins to look at both their relationship and his own mistakes.

• Eliza (Marieta Żukowska) – Paweł's wife, a strong and down-to-earth owner of her own business and a devoted mother of two teenagers. Betrayed and humiliated, she is able to overcome her pride and, in despair, kneel before her husband and ask him to stay with her.

• Paul (Paweł Małaszyński) – although he has a seemingly good relationship with Eliza, his meeting with Julia stuns him. On the one hand, sensitive and empathetic, on the other – for years closely involved in cooperation with a ruthless businessman who stops at nothing to achieve his goal.

• Hubert Czarciński (Piotr Polk) – father of Eliza and Bartek, calculating and cold, capable of anything. At the same time, he has a lot of feelings for his family, especially his son Bartek. She is willing to sacrifice a lot to save him.

He is the director of the series Makary Janowskithe author of the photos – Paweł Figurski. The Polish version of the title is a remake of the Dutch one, which was well received by critics and viewers “Overspel”. The series was produced by Polot Media on behalf of Telewizja Polsat.
