A new comedy series has arrived on Netflix. Oh, Gods!

The series debuted on Netflix on August 29 Chaosstarring legendary actor Jeff Goldblum. The series had to wait quite a long time, as the project was announced in 2018, but judging by the initial reactions of viewers – it was worth it. There was enthusiasm on the web, and most reviews consider the series excellent. One would even like to say: Oh, Gods!

What is Netflix Kaos?

It is nothing more than a real mix of different film genres. We will find elements of black comedy, drama and fantasy. The action is set in an alternative modernity and tells the story of heroes from Greek mythology. And it all starts with a wrinkle on the forehead of the main character, the unstable and not very confident Zeus. One morning, the hero wakes up and notices it. He sees in it a prophecy about the end of the world and begins to obsessively fear the end of his reign. We can therefore be sure that mythological motifs will run through the multi-threaded plot. But the series Chaos it’s not just the figure of Zeus, we also find Orpheus suffering after the loss of his beloved, bored Dionysus and Hades who doesn’t quite grasp reality. Charon is Prometheus’ ex-boyfriend and Medusa – an underground functionary. The whole Olympus is associated more with a kitschy villa than with a majestic residence.

Those who expect a faithful representation of Greek mythology from the production will be deeply disappointed. Those, on the other hand, who are waiting for a solid piece of entertainment will be overjoyed. Of course, the series has some flaws, but they can be overlooked. At times, it lacks subtlety, sometimes treats some topics too superficially and flaunts pathos too much.
