How to defend yourself?
How to defend yourself against such a threat? Bank Millennium has issued several general recommendations that should significantly minimize the risk.
Use an antivirus program on your phone and update it regularly.
Never install applications from outside the official store (e.g. Google Play).
Don’t click on ads that lead to supposed ad-blocking apps.
Stop the installation if the new app asks for additional access, such as SMS, notifications or accessibility features.
If you suspect that your phone may be infected, it is worth contacting the bank’s hotline. You should also get rid of the malicious application, although in this case you may need to factory reset your device.
