A fine for every 1.5 minutes. Penalties will rain down like an avalanche
The new Mesta Fusion RN speed camera is already operating on DK16. It can measure up to 32 vehicles at a time. However, a more effective system is located elsewhere.
On National Road 16, a new speed camera, Mesta Fusion RN, has appeared, which can measure the speed of up to 32 vehicles at the same time. This is a modern and extremely effective device. In addition, a new, sectional speed measurement has also been launched, which can be a real nightmare for drivers – reports Dziennik.pl.
Fine for every 1.5 minutes
A new, sectional speed measurement has appeared on the S3 expressway in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. It includes the entrances and exits of the tunnel, which was carved in the rock. The system consists of a total of 6 cameras that analyze the speed of vehicles. The section is 2,592 m long towards Legnica and 2,447 m towards Lubawka.
There is a speed limit of 80 km/h on this section. This means that driving through the tunnel in less than 1.48 minutes will result in a fine. The good news for drivers is that the system is currently operating in test mode. If they are successfully completed, the violation registration mode will be enabled. Then the fines could come in an avalanche.
In total, there are already 442 speed cameras operating in the CANARD network in Poland. As many as 147 of them are the previously mentioned Mesta Fusion RN devices, and 98 are Multaradar CD. The record holder is in Świdnik at al. Tysiąclecia, where thanks to it 13,953 tickets have already been issued. In addition, there are 45 section speed measurements (including the one in the tunnel on S3).
