A clever guy sold a PlayStation 5 devkit as a pizza machine
How to sell a PlayStation 5 devkit without getting targeted by Sony? Like, say, a pizza-making machine.
Devkits are early versions of consoles that contain additional tools useful for game production. They are usually strictly controlled, so selling machines is not easy. If Sony found out about it, the studio would probably be banned by the Japanese, and thus could not count on further devices. However, one clever person found a way to do it.
Devkit PlayStation 5 Pizza Edition
One of the PlayStation 5 devkits was sold as a pizza-making machine. The device has a rather specific shape, thanks to which a triangle of this Italian dish fits perfectly in the middle of the casing. The seller has shown particular ingenuity, because he has added a spatula with the PlayStation logo to the device.
This version of the devkit was sold for the equivalent of approximately 6.5 thousand euros, or (at the current exchange rate) approximately 27.8 thousand PLN. A pretty penny for a device that could stop working at any moment. All it takes is the discovery that it’s not being used for its intended purpose.

It is not known when the devkit was sold. Although the story about it has gained popularity in recent days, some reports claim that the transaction took place as early as 2021. The device is likely either stolen or from a studio that has since been closed.
