BNP Paribas – you click and go to such a website

The thing about ads is that they catch your eye and persuade you to click on them. Unfortunately, after doing so, the user ends up on a fake website that encourages them to complete a survey. The survey is designed in such a way as to steal as much data from us as possible. Entering them on the website results in one thing – they go straight into the hands of criminals who will certainly use them in a way that is far from honest.

And maybe there would be no need to write about it again, but we still fill out these types of surveys and lose our savings.

Paribas advises how to protect yourself:

BNP Paribas reminds the two most important safety rules: :

  1. Be careful towards financial advertising on social media.
  2. Don’t give out your details on pages of opened ads.

It is worth remembering to always verify the website address – the bank reminds that in the case of BNP Paribas, the address is simple and without any frills: www.bnpparibas.pl. Fake websites may look very similar to the original ones, but they will never have the same address. It will differ in details or have typos. Before logging in, it is also worth checking whether the address begins with “https” and whether the website certificate has been issued for the website where we actually intend to log in.

If you suspect that you have logged in to a fake website, immediately change your online and mobile banking password. Also contact the bank’s hotline and describe the entire situation.
