Zack takes a look at the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Here are the changes inside Samsung

New camera design

Zack Nelson published a video on YouTube of disassembling the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. One of the new features in this device is the rebuilt telephoto lens. The manufacturer used a system called ALOP. This means placing lenses on a prism.

In the previous model, the prism was located in front of the lenses. The new arrangement provides 37% more light to the matrix. Changing the aperture from f/3.4 to f/2.9 should translate into better quality of photos in lower light, and also affect other parameters (e.g. blurring the background). The camera module is now 22% shorter.

Screen and stylus

The new smartphone does not have an anti-reflective coating. Nelson explains the reason for this decision. The coating interfered with the new Privacy Display feature, which darkened the image when viewed from the side.

As for the S Pen, the one in the Galaxy S26 Ultra is thinner than in its predecessor. The older stylus doesn’t fit into the hole on the new phone.

Cooling and repair

Samsung has enlarged the vapor chamber by 15%, so the cooling system now takes up more space. This should improve heat dissipation. This is important, for example, when charging, which can now operate with a power increased to 60 W. How much faster can you charge the Galaxy S26 Ultra compared to its predecessor? You will learn this from our review, which we will soon publish on TELEPOLIS.PL.

The new phone is easily disassembled. The back panel comes off easily when the glue is heated. It is also easy to remove the 5000 mAh battery. Foam balls are placed in the speakers to reduce reverberation. The S Pen socket is separated from the components, which prevents them from being damaged by water.
