Samsung is preparing a big change in the Galaxy S27 Ultra camera

This year’s Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra brought little change in terms of photography. The manufacturer only enlarged the apertures in the main camera and telephoto lens and added new functions in the software. According to the latest reports, next year will bring more significant news. Upcoming model Galaxy S27 Ultra will receive modified matrix. The device will debut in 2027.

Digital Chat Station has published data on the subject new sensor. This part is called Isocell HPA. The matrix will offer resolution 200 megapixelsand its size is 1/1.12 inch. Another well-known tipster, Ice Universe, adds further details. According to him, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will receive a variant of this matrix called Isocell HP6. It will be a little smaller – 1/1.3 inch.

Both versions of the matrix will support LOFIC technology. This is the solution prevents pixel saturation in bright light. It works on this principle hardware single-exposure HDR modeimproving the dynamic range in your photos. This change will also affect the quality of the recorded video.

The Korean manufacturer is not the first to implement this technology. This solution is already used on the market. They are used by the main camera in the model Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The new Isocell HPA sensor will be available not only in the Galaxy series, but also in flagships of other brands.
