Intel and AMD change their plans. New processors, however, later

Recently, reports have appeared that AMD Zen 6 and Intel Nova Lake-S processors will debut at the end of 2026. The latest information contradicts this. We will have to wait a little longer for the new arrangements.

Premiere of new AMD and Intel processors

The latest information provided by recognized informants suggests that new AMD and Intel processors will not hit store shelves in 2026. However, there is no great reason to worry. Both Zen 6 and Nova Lake-S systems will probably go on sale in early 2027. Both series are scheduled to be officially presented at CES 2027 in January.

Why did both producers make such a decision? We’re not 100% sure about this, but it is probably caused by the crisis on the RAM market. A premiere that is too quick, when no user will be able to buy a whole new PC at a reasonable price, does not make much sense. Perhaps AMD and Intel hope that the situation will improve at least slightly at the beginning of 2027.

In terms of specifications, Zen 6 chips will finally introduce a 12-core CCD, which means that the flagship models will have 24 cores. In turn, the most powerful Nova Lake-S systems have up to 52 cores and 288 MB of bLLC memory, which will allow Blue to compete with AMD X3D.
