Microsoft will finally take care of gaming on laptops with ARM processors

Or at least that’s how it seemed most of the time. Well, Microsoft finally took care of playing on ARM processors. Well, the Xbox application has just arrived. What’s more, Microsoft argues that over 85% of the Game Pass catalog is compatible with these computers. This gives you a really rich collection of games. But that’s still not all.

Well, Microsoft boasts that Prism, responsible for translating the x86_64 instructions to arm, has finally received support for AVX and AVX2 instructions, which significantly increased its compatibility with games. Additionally, it also supports Epic Anti-Cheat, making it possible to play multiplayer games using this protection.

Of course, this does not mean that ARM laptops with Windows 11 have now become gaming machines. They are still office machines. However, thanks to this, it became possible to play some games on them, e.g. in your free time after work.
