YouTube Premium. Price increases by up to 60 percent

YouTube is once again raising prices for its Premium package. Some users will pay 40-60 percent more than before.

YouTube once again raises prices for its Premium package. Users did not take this with understanding. Social media is dominated by voices of dissatisfaction, because some have to pay even 40-60 percent more than before.

YouTube Premium Price Increase

Users in several European countries, such as Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands, have to deal with price increases. There, prices have increased from 11.99 to 13.99 euros for an individual plan and from 17.99 to 25.99 for a family plan. Users in Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Colombia and Thailand have also noticed price increases, but their amount depends on the specific market.

Google says the increase is necessary to ensure the service can provide the best content and services possible, as well as support the artists and creators we watch on YouTube. For some packages (especially family ones), prices have increased by as much as 40 percent. People who subscribe to YouTube Premium through Apple payments have it even worse. In this case, some will pay as much as 60 percent more, which is probably related to the additional commission of the Cupertino company.

Fortunately, Poland is not on the list, but it seems that the next increase in our country is only a matter of time. Although prices increased in November of last year, I am afraid that it will not end there. Sooner or later we will have to pay even more for YouTube Premium, whether we want it or not.
