Brighter, more efficient and longer-lasting OLEDs coming soon
Applied Materials, a company that cooperates with OLED panel manufacturers and provides them with fused material deposition solutions, announced “MAX OLED” technology. This new pixel architecture is expected to help improve screens in smartphones, tablets, laptops and TVs.
Thanks to this solution, OLED panels will be able to achieve three times higher brightness, have an increased resolution of up to 2.5x, and a pixel density of 2000 ppi. Moreover, this type of OLED panel stands out 30% reduced power consumption and 5x longer service life. Moreover, MAX OLED technology is intended to allow manufacturers to create all possible types of OLED panels from one substrate in one factory.
One of the companies that will be the first to use this technology will be Samsung Display, and in addition to the Korean giant, also the Chinese Visionox and Japan Display.
